Kimberly spent her childhood summers on  beautiful Pinewood Lake at her family's vacation cottage. After meeting Gerrit, she introduced him to Pinewood Lake and they spent many happy times there together, as a couple. When they got engaged, they knew exactly where they were getting married.

The ceremony took place on the grounds of the family cottage. With the lake as their backdrop, the couple exchanged their vows. Kimberly hired a live painter who perfectly captured the moment in an heirloom quality painting. Guests enjoyed watching the progress of the painting throughout the wedding day.

​

Gayle and her assistant Morgan strategically placed themselves between the two locations, with Gayle overseeing the ceremony and Morgan coordinating the set-up in the clubhouse. The rustic clubhouse was decorated with country florals in rustic boxes. The couple were DIY with their escort cards and sweetheart table decor.

​

A bluegrass band entertained the guests as well as board games for the younger guests.

​

Two different food trucks were available for dining; a brick oven pizza truck and a Bahn Mi truck. Chilled gelato was available too, perfect for the hot summer day.

​

Guests were invited to bring their bathing suits and enjoy swimming and canoeing for post-wedding fun.
